NTSC: national television systems committee is an analog system. used in America, japan and south Korea.

PAL: phase alternating line used in UK, Australia and Germany
SECAM: is french it means sequential colour with memory, used by Russia and France.


HDTV: high definition television, higher resolution image, installed in most modern televisions.

MONO: monaural or monophonic, is a single channel. one microphone.

Stereo: is reproduction of sound using two or more independent audio channel.

Surround sound: encompasses a range of techniques to enrich the sound by surrounding you to make it fell more of an experience.
